My family is from Malta, a tiny Mediterranean country south of Sicily. My fondest memories are of family gatherings and hot summers spent by the sea. In my early teens, my family moved to Sydney Australia. This was the beginning of my appreciation and love of cultures and lifestyles. Our tradition of home-cooked meals and family celebrations continued ... no "fast food" for us even though it was becoming an integral part of the Australian food culture.
My studies led me to a career in information technology and banking. Within a few years, I decided to pursue an opportunity in New York. My career allowed me to hone my management skills and ensure the utmost client satisfaction. It also allowed me to travel. My interest in food, wine and cultures evolved into a passionate pursuit. In 2004, I left the corporate world to start Aroma.
More than anything I want our guests to feel comfortable and at home. I'm committed to excellent service that is professional yet personal.
